Frequently asked questions

Answers about getting started, tracking time, pricing, and troubleshooting.

Getting started

No. You can use Tracktiq locally on your Mac without creating an online account. Some future features may optionally use cloud services, but basic time tracking will stay local.

Yes. Tracktiq is a native macOS app. If you work mostly on a Mac and do not need a cross platform system, this keeps the app fast and focused.

Tracktiq is not an invoicing system. It gives you accurate time and revenue data that you can export and use in your existing invoicing flow.

Time tracking and data

You can add or edit entries manually. Tracktiq is built on the idea that humans forget things. You can always fix your timesheet so it matches what you actually did.

Yes. You can mark work as non billable. This is useful for internal tasks, admin, support or learning.

By default, your data is stored locally on your Mac. If cloud sync is added in the future, it will be clearly explained and optional.

Pricing and upgrades

Great apps need constant care. Ongoing updates, OS changes, and fast customer support take continuous work—not a one-time effort. Subscriptions make it possible to keep the app stable, improve it regularly, and build the new features users ask for.

Subscriptions unlock unlimited projects, timers, and clients, plus cloud sync. The free version includes 1 project, 10 timers, and 1 client without cloud sync.

Tracktiq is primarily designed for individuals and very small teams who do not need complex permissions or central dashboards. If you run a larger team, a dedicated team time tracking system might be a better fit.

Troubleshooting

Send a short description, screenshots if possible and your macOS version to support@bluebanana-software.com. We will take a look.

Try restarting the app and your Mac. If the issue persists, contact support with your macOS version and a description of what happens.
